Job description

Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation's ("FMIC") Marketing team, we lead Fender's global social media strategy, reaching a community of over 17 million musicians and fans across platforms. Our mission is to foster meaningful connection, entertain and support players at every stage of their musical journey, and inspire deeper exploration of Fender's iconic instruments and culture.

An American icon, Fender was born in Southern California and has built a worldwide influence extending beyond the studio and the stage. A Fender is more than an instrument, it's a cultural symbol that resonates globally.

We are searching for a Social Media Manager to join our team in Hollywood, CA to develop strategies and lead the execution of global marketing and social media channels to drive rapid growth and increased engagement for both FMIC's core fan base and new audiences.

Essential Functions: 

  • Establish growth, engagement and conversion across channels (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
  • Directly manage Social Media Coordinators/Specialists and support global social media teams and distributors
  • Manage day to day relationships with key social media vendors/agencies and channel partners including Facebook/Instagram, Twitter and more
  • Draft social media portion of go-to-market plans for new product launches, integrating creative assets, events, other campaigns etc.
  • Partner with Product, Creative, Artist and Marketing teams to develop monthly content calendar for all social media platforms
  • Lead creation of and distribute weekly reports measuring and analyzing campaign metrics with the goal of adjusting tactics to optimize growth, engagement and overall performance, leverage insights to identify opportunities for improvement and rationale for execution of campaigns
  • Manage analytics reporting and online listening to create insights reports ensuring that the brand has a constant pulse on what fans are saying online
  • Work closely with Customer Service to monitor and make strategic recommendations on how to respond on our social channels, providing prompt, accurate customer service to customers and providing direction to other channel coordinators on the team
  • Contribute to the global, multi-cultural expansion and authenticity of the brand
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Social Media marketing
  • Strong social copywriting skills and demonstrable creative/concepting skills
  • Passionate about understanding consumer behavior with a demonstrated ability to translate findings into meaningful, prosperous long-term relationships
  • Previous experience on paid social and acquisition campaigns
  • Team-player; ability to work proactively with all business divisions and drive results
  • Strong understanding of the Fender brand. A love of music and guitar encouraged!
