Job description

Job Summary:
Title: Music Publishing Intern (Paid)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-office, 5 days a week)
Average hours: Up to 30 hours per week
The Role:
Roc Nation is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individual, who is interested in learning more about the live entertainment and music industries.
This internship will allow students to gain first-hand, experience in music publishing - the creation, management, and monetization of songs and the creatives who write and record them.
Areas that you will be learning about as a Publishing Intern:
  • Song registration and file organization
  • Coordinating songwriter sessions
  • Handling songwriter travel budgets
  • Searching for new talent with weekly reports to the department
  • Relationship building with other departments within Roc Nation, as well as, Roc Nation Publishing's administrator
  • Publishing company organization and meeting preparation

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work out of LA office for the Fall semester
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time college student working towards your Associate's, Bachelor's or Masters degree or recent graduate
  • Must have a strong passion for music and stay up to date with the latest trends and top charting music
  • Interest in learning new web related technologies and software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Suite
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Familiarity with social networking sites desired. TikTok and Instagram are a must
  • Familiarity with Keynote/PowerPoint

The expected compensation for this position in West Hollywood is:
