Job description

Position Overview:ย We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven District Manager to oversee the operations of multiple Denny's restaurant units within the Fresno, CA region. The District Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall success, profitability, and exceptional guest experiences across all assigned restaurants. As a leader, you will be responsible for implementing corporate strategies, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of teamwork and growth within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple Denny's restaurant units, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain consistent operational processes, including food quality, guest service, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, profitability, labor costs, and guest satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures.

2. Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, develop, and lead restaurant managers and teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve performance targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship to managers and staff, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages collaboration among team members.

3. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the district, closely monitoring financial performance and making data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and create action plans to address any discrepancies or challenges.
  • Implement cost control measures to manage expenses while maintaining quality standards.

4. Guest Satisfaction:

  • Drive a guest-centric approach within the district, ensuring that each restaurant consistently delivers exceptional service and meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest feedback and concerns, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues and improve overall satisfaction.

5. Business Development:

  • Collaborate with the corporate office and other stakeholders to implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and strategies that enhance the visibility and profitability of the district.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and market penetration, presenting recommendations for new locations or improvements to existing units.

6. Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Denny's corporate policies and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and sanitary environment and prevent any potential violations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in restaurant management, including multi-unit oversight.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and guest service.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial reports and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexibility to travel between restaurant locations within the Fresno, CA district.
