Job description

Purpose:
Maintain and grow sales within existing and new Mining focused dust control customer accounts to achieve annual profit and revenue goals. Responsible for ensuring that Midwest has strong and enduring relationships at multiple organizational levels at their customers to create long-term sales partnerships.
Key Accountabilities:
KRA 1: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the mining sector and others as assigned. Regularly visit client sites to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries, resolving issues, and offering technical support as needed. Serve on operational cluster calls to help facilitate daily operational challenges. Work collaboratively with other functions to meet the needs of all customers.
KRA 2: Achieve sales and profitability targets in accordance with Midwest Strategy Deployment. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth. Identify new business opportunities within assigned region and elevate these opportunities to the General Manager Mining. Prepare and present proposals and quotations to clients. Negotiate contracts and close sales deals effectively.
KRA 3: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Midwest's products and services. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions to ensure clients understand how to use the products effectively. Educate clients on the features and benefits of Midwest's products.
KRA 4: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards sales targets within the Midwest CRM system. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to the General Manager Mining based on market analysis.

  • Use resources within the boundaries of the 1-year financial plan, the MSP sales team and applicable Field Service team members.
  • Manage pricing and profitability at Territory accounts with input from General Manager Mining
  • Use sales and marketing resources for networking and tradeshow activities to support KRA 2 and 3
