Tier 2 IT Support Technician

Pegasus Technologies is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) focused on delivering exceptional IT support, cybersecurity, and strategic technology solutions to small and mid-sized businesses throughout the region. We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Tier 2 Technician to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with clients, and continuing to grow their IT knowledge in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for desktops, servers, networking, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot escalated service tickets and resolve issues efficiently
  • Support and maintain Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding users and device deployments
  • Work with firewalls, switches, wireless networking, and VPN connectivity
  • Participate in project work including migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and resolutions
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal team members
  • Escalate complex issues when appropriate while maintaining ownership of the client experience

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably within an MSP environment
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows 10/11
    • Windows Server
    • Microsoft 365
    • Active Directory
    • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ConnectWise, Autotask, Datto, Huntress, or similar MSP platforms
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience supporting virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware
