This position ensures reliable supply of essential materials and services to support uninterrupted plant operations, maintenance schedules, and equipment uptime, while maintaining cost effectiveness, supplier performance, and compliance with Flagstone Foods’ procurement policies.The role partners closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to streamline MRO purchasing, negotiate supplier agreements, and optimize inventory control practices across both locations.Essential FunctionsProcurement & Supplier ManagementSource, evaluate, and procure MRO supplies, spare parts, tools, and contracted services in support of both manufacturing sites.Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring high-quality service, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to achieve savings targets and operational reliability.Support Engineering for capital Requisitions/Purchase Orders to negotiate pricing, terms and service agreements as required.Issue Purchase Order’s for all approved requisitions.Provide SAP training to requisitioners as required.Coordinate with vendors on returns, warranty claims, and replacement of defective materials.Evaluate supplier performance and participate in corrective action plans as needed.Provide analytical reports on spend, supplier usage, and inventory trends to management.Coordinate emergency orders and support plant downtime events with proactive supply readiness.Inventory & Systems ManagementManage and maintain MRO inventory levels to meet operational needs without excess or obsolescence.Support implementation and maintenance of SAP materials database for MRO parts and vendor management.Review and update part numbers.Implement a process for reordering points, and min/max levels for accuracy and optimization.Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies between sites.Implement inventory best practices across both facilities for visibility, control, and efficiency.Partner with maintenance and engineering to identify critical spares, preferred vendors, and standardization opportunities.Cross-Site CoordinationCollaborate with site maintenance, procurement and operations leaders to align priorities and standardize procurement processes across all plants.ComplianceEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and food safety requirements.Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier documentation, and audit readiness.Continuous ImprovementSupport continuous improvement projects related to procurement, maintenance efficiency, and cost reduction.Identify opportunities for automation, vendor consolidation, and standardization.Participate in Lean or Six Sigma initiatives focused on reliability, cost savings, and efficiency as required.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications (Education/Experience)• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience considered.• 5+ years of experience in MRO procurement, maintenance planning, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.• Food or CPG manufacturing experience preferred.• Working knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, CMMS, or similar ERP).• Strong understanding of maintenance operations, spare parts management, and vendor sourcing.• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).• Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization.• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.• Continuous improvement mindset; Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification a plus.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described within the Essential Functions section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this job.
