Spare Parts Buyer – Spare Parts & Industrial Procurement

Location: Onsite Santa Teresa, NM / El Paso, TX area
Employment Type: 3–4 month contract with potential convert to full-time
Pay Rate: $65–$75/hour W2

Innovar Group is hiring an MRO Buyer – Spare Parts & Industrial Procurement to support a large-scale construction and commissioning environment in the Santa Teresa / El Paso area. This person will own procurement of replacement parts, critical spares, and industrial components to help keep construction and commissioning activities moving without material-related delays.

This is a great opportunity for a highly organized procurement professional who enjoys working closely with construction, commissioning, warehouse, and vendor teams in a fast-paced project environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Purchase industrial equipment, replacement parts, and critical spare components.

  • Create, manage, and track purchase orders.

  • Evaluate supplier quotes and make purchasing recommendations.

  • Monitor procurement budgets, spending, and inventory levels.

  • Coordinate with vendors on pricing, availability, order status, and deliveries.

  • Resolve purchasing, delivery, and material-availability issues.

  • Partner with construction, commissioning, warehouse, and field teams to understand upcoming needs.

  • Help prevent schedule delays by ensuring the right materials are available at the right time.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5–7 years of industrial procurement or buyer experience.

  • Experience purchasing MEP equipment, industrial components, replacement parts, or critical spares.

  • Background in heavy industrial, utilities, data centers, oil and gas, power generation, construction, or similar environments.

  • Strong ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar systems.

  • Excellent organization, follow-up, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work onsite in the Santa Teresa / El Paso area.

  • Organized, communicative, and open to direction.

Nice to Have
  • Data center project experience.

  • Experience supporting construction or commissioning teams.

  • Familiarity with critical spare parts planning, warehouse coordination, or project-based procurement.
