Summary:
The RN Manager Mother Baby is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Mother Baby/Postpartum unit including staffing, patient care quality, team leadership, and departmental operations. This leadership role works closely with Womenโs Services leadership to ensure efficient, patient-centered care while supervising nursing and support staff in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities:
โข Manage daily operations of the Mother Baby unit
โข Oversee staffing, scheduling, and patient care quality
โข Supervise RNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries
โข Support development of departmental policies and procedures
โข Collaborate with Womenโs Services leadership team
โข Maintain regulatory and quality standards
โข Support staff development and unit performance improvement
Requirements:
โข Active RN license or Compact RN license required
โข Bachelorโs Degree required (Masterโs preferred)
โข BLS & ACLS required
โข NRP required within 60 months if not currently held
โข 3+ years recent Womenโs Services/Mother Baby/Postpartum RN experience required
โข 1+ year leadership or supervisory experience required
โข Strong postpartum leadership experience preferred

โข Reports to Director of Womenโs Services
โข Supervises approximately 29.5 FTEs
