A Brief Overview:
Responsible for supporting the Loan Processor in managing Homebuyer Government Assistance Programs, ensuring that all program requirements are met. This includes ensuring that legal and property reviews comply with established policies and procedures, applicable local and federal regulations (including TILA RESPA), and investor and guarantor guidelines
What you'll do
  • Perform an initial review of data accuracy and loan documents in the government platform to validate integrity and required documents are complete.
  • Notify Loan processor when discrepancies are identified before the loan approval
  • Complete a quality review to ensure loan documents and information are according government program requirements
  • Request environmental certification through the govement platform
  • Maintain loan status updated in the system ( Encompass )
  • Review any delays or issues related to the certification and perform follow-up until the process is completed
  • Maintain clear, proactive, and timely communication with borrowers throughout the loan process, explaining requirements, next steps, and addressing questions to avoid delays and confusion
  • Follow up with borrowers to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding conditions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain status updated in the mortgage system ( Encompass)
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Loan Officers, Underwriting, Closing, Compliance) to relay information, clarify requirements, and help resolve pending issues.
  • Assist the Loan Processor in organizing and maintaining loan folders , ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly indexed in the mortgage system.
  • Upload and track incoming documents, verifying that items received match outstanding conditions or requests.
  • Assist in preparing and tracking required disclosures and notices (e.g., Notice of Incomplete, conditional approval documentation) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure documentation and communications follow applicable regulations and internal policies (TILA-RESPA, investor guidelines), escalating discrepancies to the Loan Processor when identified.
  • Monitor assigned loans to ensure conditions, documents, and third-party items are progressing within expected timeframes.
  • Identify missing items or delays and escalate to the Loan Processor promptly to avoid processing or closing delays.
  • Support pipeline management efforts by helping prioritize files based on deadlines and processing stage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed
Education
โ€ข Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred for this position
Knowledge
โ€ข 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in Mortgage or banking industry is required for this position.
โ€ข 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in customer service and administrative tasks is required for this position.
โ€ข 1 - 2 years of relevant experience with Encompass is preferred for this position
