Job description

Help manage, hire, train and develop new and existing Mortgage Loan Processors. Lead one of the Mortgage Loan Processing teams in accomplishing daily, monthly, and annual goals while providing superior service to members and team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily priorities for the teams and queues to achieve efficiency and meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings with each team member discussing progress toward goals, results, and career development
  • Help cover and reassign workload for missing team members
  • Training and support for new Mortgage Loan Processors utilizing "Lean Knowledge Transfer"
  • Process incoming loan applications, handle orders, verifications, assist and back up Processors on loan officer's files, and all file requirements throughout the loan closing process, including but not limited to team member files
  • Handle weekly timesheets, overtime management and time off requests, while ensuring adequate coverage
  • Prepare and produce Strength Development plans, conduct reviews, and corrective action, if necessary, for each direct report
  • Prepare and assist with monthly reports regarding efficiency and productivity
  • Assist on projects as assigned and needed
  • Manage Quality Control of and monitor cures related to Initial RESPA Disclosures
  • Process mortgage loan applications, prepare loan docs for closings, and ensure loan files are compliant to all government and investor regulations
  • Assist Mortgage Loan Officers and Underwriters in the development and growth of the department

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Prior lending and leadership experience preferred. Ability to coach and develop team members based on talents. Excellent communication, interpersonal, data processing and computer skills, with an eye for detail. An ability to work under pressure and in an organized manner.
Performance Standard:
Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Ability to work under pressure and through conflicting situations. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
Physical Requirements:
  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
