Job description

City's best Beef Ramen shop is seeking a full time Ramen Cook with at least one year of Line cook experience. Asian restaurant kitchen experience preferred but not required for this position.
If you feel you meet the requirements below, please respond with a copy of your resume and a cover letter detailing why you would be a great addition to Monster Ramen Chicago.
  • You MUST have current ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe Allergen for Illinois.
  •  Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  •  Must have a consistent punctuality.
  •  Must have line cook experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, scratch kitchen restaurant setting.
  •  Must maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization in the kitchen. 
  •  Must have experience for food rotation, proper labeling, and waste management.
  •  Must have experience adhering to the recipe and food presentation specifications and portion control.
  •  Must comply with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  •  With minimal assistance, be able to set up, work and close down multiple stations at an acceptable level.
  •  With assistance, able to perform prep tasks assigned by the chef in a timely fashion.
  •  Completes required mise en place or prep list in a timely fashion.
  •  Operates, maintains and properly cleans kitchen equipment.
  •  Be able to prepare and execute menu items with precision and consistency.
  •  Works efficiently with a constant sense of urgency.
  •  Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  •  Perform shift change and/or opening or closing duties.
  •  Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  •  Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
  •  Must have great attitude and passion for learning, growth. Humility, respect and support all areas of kitchen, including dish area! We are all one team!
