Job description

Skilled Finish Plumbing Technician 

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading client in Romulus, Michigan, specializing in Modular Home Manufacturing. 

We specialize in creating high-quality, pre-fabricated modular homes, and we are looking for a talented individual to help ensure that our plumbing systems are installed to the highest standards. 

Skilled Finish Plumbing Technician Job Summary: 

  • Pay: $21.00 - $24.00/hour based on experience. 

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with potential for overtime on weekends as needed. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Install, connect, and test plumbing systems in modular homes, including water supply lines, fixtures, drains, and other plumbing components. 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to complete installations according to specifications. 

  • Finish and install plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, faucets, toilets, bathtubs, and water heaters, ensuring proper function and alignment. 

  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure all installations comply with building codes and safety regulations. 

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on plumbing systems as necessary during the punch-out phase of modular home construction. 

  • Collaborate with other trades, such as electricians and carpenters, to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems with other installations. 

  • Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and fit piping materials, including PVC, PEX, and copper. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored. 

  • Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during installations. 

  • Assist with additional plumbing-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 

Skilled Finish Plumbing Technician Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience in plumbing installation, with a focus on finish plumbing in residential or modular home settings. 

  • Knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, materials, and local plumbing codes. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for plumbing systems. 

  • Proficiency with plumbing tools, including pipe cutters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work with precision. 

  • Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and working in confined spaces. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues during installation. 

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
