Impact Housing (IH) is a vertically integrated modular design-builder and developer headquartered in Southern California.
Our mission is to continuously evolve the world's most sophisticated and efficient housing delivery system. We pursue this mission by reimagining every element of how multifamily projects are designed, manufactured, and built-driving down costs, shortening schedules, and expanding access to high-quality housing for the people who need it most, whether through LIHTC or unsubsidized projects.
To date this decade, the IH team has built or is actively developing close to 1,500 modular units demonstrating a scalable, repeatable path to affordability. With the capability to produce approximately 1,000 units per year today, IH is expanding to meet growing demand in San Diego, Los Angeles, and beyond.
We are now entering the next stage of our growth and strengthening every team across the company to achieve our next set of goals. We plan to manufacture and build more than 10,000 units through 2030. To accomplish this, we are implementing the Lean Standard Model company-wide; deploying AI at every level of the company; and positioning IH as a national thought leader in modular development.

POSITION SUMMARY
We're seeking dedicated Production Team Members to join our growing modular home manufacturing operation. As a Team Member, you'll play a key role in crafting high-quality homes using innovative construction methods, all within a clean, climate-controlled facility. This is an exciting opportunity to learn multiple trades, work in a collaborative team environment, and build a lasting career in modern manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute production tasks following standardized work and quality specifications.
  • Work in various production areas such as framing, electrical, plumbing, sheathing, saw operations, finishing, and more.
  • Maintain daily production pace and perform quality checks at each workstation o ensure work meets company standards and building codes.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain organized, 5S-compliant work areas.
  • Report production issues or material shortages promptly to your Team Leader.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, support new employees, and contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment.
  • Participate in cross-training, lean manufacturing initiatives, and team improvement projects.

CROSS TRAINING
Team members may be trained and work in any of the following positions based on production needs and individual skill development:
  • Framing - Wall framing, floor systems, roof trusses, structural assembly
  • Electrical - Rough-in wiring, fixture installation, panel installation, electrical testing
  • Plumbing - Pipe installation, fixture mounting, water system testing, drain assembly
  • Sheathing - Wall sheathing, roof decking, subfloor installation, exterior panel installation
  • Saw Operations - Material cutting, component preparation, saw equipment operation
  • Finishing - Drywall installation, taping and mudding, painting, trim installation
  • Insulation - Insulation installation, vapor barrier application, energy efficiency measures
  • Exterior - Siding installation, roofing, windows and doors, exterior trim
  • Cabinetry - Cabinet installation, countertop mounting, hardware installation
  • HVAC - Ductwork installation, unit mounting, register installation
  • Final Assembly - Hardware installation, touch-up, final quality inspection, punch list completion

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Previous manufacturing, trades, or construction experience
  • Willingness to learn new skills and be cross-trained in multiple positions
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized work procedures
  • Basic reading and math skills for blueprint reading and measurements
  • Reliable work history demonstrating dependability and attendance
  • Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to be cross-trained

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or other construction trades
  • Lean manufacturing or 5S knowledge

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Forklift certification, OSHA 10/30 preferred

**WORK AUTHORIZATION**
All prospective Impact Housing employees must be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the US.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-10 hours per shift)
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Ability to work at various heights including on ladders and scaffolding
  • Visual acuity to read measurements, blueprints, and identify quality issues
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
  • Stamina to maintain productivity throughout full shift/

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Climate-controlled manufacturing environment with a focus on comfort and safety
  • Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00AM-1:30PM with flexibility on start and end time
  • Overtime and Saturday work may be required during peak production periods
  • Fast-paced production environment with daily targets and quality expectations
  • Team-based work structure with collaboration and communication throughout the day
  • Exposure to construction tools, equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Noise levels requiring hearing protection in certain areas
