Job Summary:
A Model UN (Model United Nations) Advisor is responsible for guiding and supporting students in the Model UN club or program. This role involves mentoring students in international relations, diplomacy, and public speaking, as well as helping organize and manage Model UN activities and events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and support Model UN officers, including the president, vice president, secretary, and committee chairs.
  • Assist in developing agendas, meeting protocols, and organizational procedures.
  • Help plan and facilitate regular Model UN meetings and training sessions.
  • Teach students effective meeting management skills and Model UN procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions on Model UN rules, procedures, and protocols.
  • Help students research countries, topics, and issues for upcoming conferences.
  • Provide resources and coaching for writing position papers, resolutions, and speeches.
  • Support students in planning and participating in Model UN conferences at the local, regional, national, and international level.
  • Oversee logistics, budgeting, and travel arrangements for conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Education and Experience:
