Job description

Position Description: The BIM Coordinator is an entry-level to early-career technical role focused on supporting the implementation, consistency, and continuous improvement of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across the firm. Working under the direction of the BIM Manager and in collaboration with the BIM Support Team, this role provides day-to-day BIM assistance to project teams, reinforces established standards, and contributes to the development of BIM content, tools, and workflows.
This position serves as a firmwide resource—supporting multiple project teams, promoting model quality and coordination, and helping maintain alignment with OZ BIM standards and execution strategies. The role offers a growth pathway toward increased responsibility in BIM leadership, standards development, and digital practice initiatives. This position reports to the Director of IT. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of experience working with Revit in an architectural or AEC production environment.
Internship or professional experience supporting BIM-based project delivery (preferred)Exposure to multi-disciplinary coordination (architecture, structure, MEP) (preferred)Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit for architectural production.
Familiarity with Forma Coordination or similar model coordination environments.
Basic understanding of BIM concepts, including:

Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently apply standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Firmwide BIM Support & CoordinationProvide day-to-day BIM and Revit support to project teams across the firm, assisting with modeling, documentation, and workflow-related questions.
Support coordination workflows by assisting teams with model linking, coordination setup, and multidisciplinary integration.
Assist with basic coordination processes using Forma Coordination, including review of model integration and identification of conflicts.
Help document coordination issues and support communication back to project teams and Project BIM Leads.
Act as a consistent resource to support BIM execution across multiple projects.Standards & Quality Support
Reinforce compliance with OZ BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans, naming conventions, and file organization protocols.
Perform targeted model reviews focused on consistency, completeness, and adherence to firm standards.
Support implementation of best practices related to model setup, file structure, and project workflows.
Assist with version control and model exchange processes within the firm’s common data environment.Project Team SupportProvide first-tier BIM and Revit support, troubleshooting issues and guiding users toward best-practice solutions.
Escalate more complex technical or workflow challenges to the BIM Manager or BIM Support Team as appropriate.
Support project teams during internal reviews, QA/QC efforts, and coordination sessions.
Assist in documenting BIM-related issues and resolutions as needed.
Support onboarding efforts by helping new staff learn OZ BIM standards, tools, and workflows.Tools, Templates & ContentUtilize and support the application of OZ BIM templates, families, and content libraries across project teams.
Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of Revit families, templates, and shared content.
Support BIM PUG and BIM Support Team initiatives related to standards development, content improvements, and workflow enhancements.
Participate in testing of BIM tools, add-ins, and emerging workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.Training & Knowledge SharingParticipate in and support firmwide BIM training efforts, including onboarding sessions and internal learning initiatives.
