Job description

Senior Network Architect

We’re looking for a Senior Network Architect to help shape the secure, resilient telecom infrastructure that people, businesses, and critical services in Norway depend on every day. I’m Tommy Strand, Chief Network Architect, and I’m searching for someone ready to take architectural ownership across our end-to-end network landscape. We are a small, forward‑thinking team building a modern, secure, and robust telco network for Telia’s services in Norway — infrastructure that is vital to society and central to our future connectivity ambitions. Less senior applicants who have the right skill set and drive will also be considered for a Network Architect position.

What you’ll do:
  • Own architecture development for complex telecom network environments, including mobile core, IP networks, access, transport, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Ensure designs align with architecture principles, security requirements, resilience targets, and long‑term technology direction.
  • Guide stakeholders and delivery teams through technical decisions, architecture trade‑offs, and complex implementation challenges.
  • Drive measurable outcomes by improving network performance, robustness, operational efficiency, and readiness for future services.
What will help you thrive in this role:

You are curious, open‑minded, enjoy working with many stakeholders, and have deep knowledge and interest in telco network design, believing resilience is a necessity.

  • Proven experience in mobile network (4G and 5G), IP‑network and cloud‑native network applications.
  • Strong knowledge of 4G and 5G mobile network and IP‑network design.
  • Ability to manage complex designs and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian.
What we offer

When you join us, you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package tailored to your local market, opportunities for remote work, and more. You may also earn a bonus based on your performance and Telia’s results.

Equal opportunities

At Telia, we recognize talent by professional skills and growth potential and champion diversity, ensuring every individual’s needs are met, regardless of disability, gender, age, nationality, sexual orientation, or social status. Together, we’re dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment where your uniqueness is our strength.
