Job Summary:
Ornua is Ireland’s largest exporter of Irish dairy products, and they are seeking a Network Administrator to support and secure their global network infrastructure. This role will ensure reliable connectivity and maintain network performance across enterprise environments, contributing to operational excellence in critical manufacturing and business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Support and secure Ornua’s global network infrastructure by ensuring reliable connectivity, maintaining network performance and availability, and driving continuous improvement across enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and security environments.
• Take ownership of core network operations and security initiatives that directly support Ornua’s global business continuity and operational efficiency.
• Maintain reliable connectivity across manufacturing facilities and offices worldwide, strengthen cybersecurity resilience, and support the successful delivery of critical IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required
• 3–5 years of professional experience supporting enterprise WAN, LAN, firewall, and wireless environments
• Hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Aruba wireless solutions
• Working knowledge of MPLS, P2P, SDWAN, VPN, IPSec-VPN, IDS/IPS, and remote access technologies
• Experience supporting network monitoring, incident management, and security operations
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented global environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications preferred
• Microsoft Azure networking experience and/or Azure Network Architecture certification preferred
• Experience working within a global organization across multiple geographic regions
• Understanding of manufacturing industry environments and operational technologies
• Experience with wireless surveys, network sniffing, bandwidth monitoring, and advanced network troubleshooting tools
• Familiarity with cloud networking technologies including AWS and Azure
• Experience supporting IT security compliance initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and security incident response
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with third-party vendors and service providers
• Additional certifications in cloud networking, firewall administration, or security technologies considered advantageous
