Job description

Position Overview &Responsibilities
Sixteen Bricks production mixing staff are primarilyresponsible for combining ingredients while following formulas and complyingwith food safety standards to make dough for various products. Mixers willutilize bakery equipment in a safe manner and work as a team to thinkcritically and recognize factors that affect the safety and quality of thedough while completing some of the following essential tasks:
• Always follow Good Manufacturing Practicesand Food Safety guidelines
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitarywork area. Your work area should becleaned to the highest applicable standard when finishing for the day.
• Mix the assigned number of doughs usingcorrect formulas, mixing times, temperatures, and pH readings as indicated anddirected by the production manager/supervisor
• Consistently and accurately record all datanecessary throughout each process such as times, temperatures, ingredient lotnumbers, environmental information, etc.
• Effectively communicate with team members tomaintain production schedule and team coordination (production, sanitation,leadership staff)
• Assigned chunker is responsible for dividingthe dough as it is finished mixing
• Track wasted ingredients/dough accurately(raw dough, floor waste, shrink waste, etc.)
• Report and assist as instructed to proactivelymitigate all issues and/or concerns regarding the quality and/or safety of the productionenvironment, equipment, ingredients, doughs, products, or team members
• Help when needed in other areas of theproduction line to cover any gaps.

Physical Requirements
Work requires normal mental and visualattention/perception to correctly identify products/items along with manualcoordination (safely operating bakery equipment/machinery, entering informationon a tablet). Work is repetitive and not sedentary; the individual isfrequently required to move (walk, squat, reach overhead, rotate, twist, bend,lift), and stand for varying periods of time and will frequently move (push,pull, lift, grasp, carry, drag, etc.) materials up to 50 pounds.
Schedule, Wage, and Benefits
Sixteen Bricks mixing staff typically work full-timefive days a week during the early morning and afternoon hours. Employees willalso be expected to attend meetings and complete training as needed duringhours that are reasonable within their typical work schedule. Non-exempt; hourlywage ranges based on experience. Full-time hourly employees working 32 or moreregular hours per week will qualify for benefits including insurance, paid timeoff, and paid holiday time.
