Job Description:
The position blends raw materials to create production blends according to specifications, operate blending machines, ensure batch integrity.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the preparation of batches with the needs of production lines and/or schedule, and tank capacity.
  • Facilitates all necessary receiving inspection procedures of bulk raw materials.
  • Operate blending equipment systems.
  • Understands and initiates basic batching procedures including reading bills of materials, mixing procedures, and understanding parts numbering system.
  • Understand mixing, piping, and valve systems for batching tanks.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, pumps, hoses, and equipment.
  • Completes blend as required.
  • Complete rework activity as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate housekeeping of compounding area.
  • Comprehends and utilizes proper PPE equipment. Follow safety protocols.
  • Work with other personnel as needed (quality, production assistant, scheduler, etc.)
  • Load / unload tankers to instruction for safety.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education, License, Certifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Qualifications
  • One year of relevant experience- preferred.
  • Experience in the specialty chemical industry- preferred. Previous manufacturing / warehouse experience (including forklift)- preferred.
  • OSHA/HAZ mat experience- preferred.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
