Duties & Responsibilities

DigiFlight, Inc., a fast-growing Government contractor in Huntsville AL, is seeking a Technical Writer supporting the Apache Attack Helicopter Project Management Office (AAH-PMO) based in the Huntsville, AL area. Candidates should have excellent management, organizational, and communication skills with experience in Provisioning. An ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp, understand and interpret key aspects of Army programs. Candidates should also be able to communicate, advise and help formulate solutions to senior Government leadership and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing team environment, reacting quickly to changing requirements and schedules.

  • A bachelor’s degree is desired and a minimum of 20 years’ experience (an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of degree).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
Required Skills

Experienced in using UltraEdit, Beyond Compare, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and SharePoint; Expertly proficient in XML Coding, IADS development, Page Base Development; Expert in MWOs, TMs, DMWRs, TBs (Military technical 750-1; Expert in Document Type Definitions (DTD), style sheets, and live DTDs; Experienced in validation and verification of government technical manuals (TM, TB, Flight manuals, MWOs, DMWRs, etc); Expert in field and sustainment maintenance levels and provisioning impacts on publications; Excellent organizational skills; MUST have the ability to research, review, and understand technical information, interpret engineering drawings, and develop procedural information for technical documentation; Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Must be able to travel; Statement of Work Requirements for publications.
