Military Liaison Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Full-Time | Salaried | 40 Hours per Week | $18–$22/Hour Equivalent

Freedom Home Care is looking for a confident, dependable, and relationship-driven individual to serve as our Veteran Liaison & Community Outreach Specialist throughout Cincinnati and surrounding Ohio communities.

This is not a desk job.

The right person will be out in the community building relationships, attending veteran events, visiting referral partners, meeting veterans and their families, and helping connect veterans with the services and resources available to them.

We are looking for someone who can comfortably walk into a hospital, veteran organization, senior community, community event, or veteran's home and build genuine relationships with people.

Military service, veteran status, military caregiving experience, or extensive experience working with the veteran community is strongly preferred. We want someone who understands and respects military culture and has a genuine passion for serving veterans.

• Full-time, salaried position — 40 hours per week

• Salary based on an equivalent rate of $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

• Flexible workdays and hours based on community outreach, veteran needs, appointments, and scheduled events

• Primary territory includes Cincinnati and surrounding Ohio communities

• This is a mobile/community-based position requiring regular local travel

• Some veteran events, community programs, and outreach opportunities may occur outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends

• Flexibility is important; the weekly schedule may vary depending on events and community needs

• Benefits are not currently offered for this position

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for veterans and their families.

• Conduct home visits with veterans to check on their overall satisfaction, needs, and well-being.

• Help identify concerns or gaps in services and communicate those needs to the appropriate Freedom Home Care team member or outside resource.

• Assist veterans and families in navigating available resources and support services.

• Maintain ongoing relationships with the veterans we serve.

• Act as a liaison between veterans, their families, Freedom Home Care, and appropriate veteran/community resources.

• Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, case managers, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, senior communities, veteran organizations, and other referral partners.

• Conduct regular community and referral-source visits.

• Educate community partners about Freedom Home Care and the services we provide to veterans.

• Follow up consistently with leads, referrals, and professional contacts.

• Look for new opportunities to connect Freedom Home Care with veterans who may benefit from our services.

• Represent Freedom Home Care at veteran stand-downs, community events, resource fairs, job fairs, and other veteran-focused programs.

• Confidently speak with individuals and groups about available services and resources.

• Build genuine connections with veterans throughout the community.

• Help identify veterans and families who may need additional support.

• Attend occasional evening and weekend events as part of the position.

• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, referrals, veteran visits, and follow-up.

• Provide regular updates regarding outreach efforts, relationships, leads, and opportunities.

• Work independently while remaining closely connected with the Freedom Home Care team.

• Follow through on commitments and ensure important contacts and veteran needs do not fall through the cracks.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college is a plus.

• Military service or veteran status is highly valued.

• Military caregiving experience or significant experience working with veterans, military families, or veteran organizations is strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of military culture and veteran resources is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Comfortable with public speaking and community networking.

• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, community-based schedule.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Cincinnati and surrounding Ohio communities.

• Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.

You are someone who can spend the morning meeting with a hospital social worker, attend a veteran resource event in the afternoon, stop by a veteran's home to check in, and still make sure every important conversation and follow-up is documented before the day is over.
