Job description

Business Intelligence Analyst (Mid-Level or Lead)

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst (Mid-Level or Lead) to join the Engineering & Technology Innovation (E&TI) Business Intelligence organization. This position is available in El Segundo, or other locations listed.

As a member of the E&TI Business Intelligence team, you will transform complex business and operational data into decision-ready insights that improve visibility, enable strategic planning, and support execution across the organization.

You will partner with leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to define reporting needs, develop scalable analytics solutions, and deliver dashboards, metrics, and narratives that drive action. Success in this role requires strong analytical judgment, curiosity, and the ability to align stakeholders around a common view of performance.

This position requires experience working with large datasets, business systems, and visualization tools to identify trends, measure performance, and recommend improvements. Clear written and verbal communication, data storytelling, and the ability to present complex information to leadership and diverse stakeholders are essential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collect, manipulate, visualize, and analyze data from multiple business systems to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Design, build, automate, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring performance reports
  • Define, track, and improve key performance indicators and business metrics in partnership with stakeholders
  • Analyze business problems and perform root-cause analysis to understand solution space and implement identified opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, customers, and management
  • Translate business questions into data requirements, reporting logic, and actionable insights
  • Support data governance, standard metric definitions, and consistent reporting practices across the organization
  • Present analysis and recommendations to functional leaders and executive stakeholders in a clear, concise manner
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement reporting improvements and fulfill business intelligence priorities

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working with large data sets required (e.g. advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI)
  • Knowledge in Database (preferred: Postgres, SQLite)and experience in writing SQL

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Boeing business systems and enterprise data sources
  • Experience and openness to modern AI concepts and tools to improve efficiency
  • Experience scripting and writing code to automate solutions
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and effective communication skills
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Ability to synthesize ambiguous problems, derive insights from data, and communicate findings simply and effectively

Travel: Some travel may be required up to 10%.

Summary Pay Range:

Mid-Level (Level 3): $ 96,050 - 139,150

Lead (Level 4): $119,850 - $173,650
