Job description

Firebird AST is seeking an onsite TS/SCI-cleared Intelligence Analyst to support DHS OIG.
*** This is for a pending contract. Contract award is anticipated December 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct intelligence analysis and production in support of DHS OIG priorities related to corruption, fraud/illicit finance, child sexual exploitation material (CSEM), cyber, and threats against DHS equities and personnel.
  • Present methodology and findings in written reports and briefing material.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with case agents, interagency task forces, and the intelligence community to share and coordinate information on illicit activities impacting DHS.
  • Provide timely and relevant operational and strategic intelligence in the form of intelligence bulletings and assessments that address trends, and patterns, map illicit networks, and evaluate specific DHS-OIG priorities. Bridge the gap between tactical intelligence and strategic intelligence to establish a common intelligence picture that informs decision makers across DHS-OIG.
  • Develop field-specific material such as targeting packages and technical guides that inform operations decision makers on key actors and emerging capabilities of criminal networks.
  • Input researched and analyzed data into various professional products, including:
    • Analytical summaries
    • Graphs and charts
    • PowerPoint presentations for law enforcement use and prosecutions

REQUIRED
  • Active DoW Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • 8 years of experience conducting intelligence analysis, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of intelligence analysis tradecraft, the intelligence cycle, and intelligence requirements related to DHS. Capacity to fuse intelligence tradecraft and law enforcement to address complex issues within the homeland security and oversight environment.
  • Mastery in verbal and written communication to produce timely, concise, and accurate intelligence analysis. Proficiency in briefing national security and law enforcement principals on intelligence related to transnational criminal networks and strategic threats impacting homeland security.
  • Fully proficient in the use of analytical and data visualization software, such as:
    • i2 Analyst Notebook
    • Pen-Link
    • Tableau
  • Expertise in Federal law enforcement fraud investigations, intelligence production, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency open-source intelligence research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Master's preferred

CLEARANCE
  • Active DoW Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
