Job description

As a Retail Area Manager for our Microsoft products, you'll support and coordinate the work of Best Buy's Retail Sales Specialists in stores across a multi-state territory. You'll be responsible for training, developing, coaching and supporting team members in your service area. To help support your team, you'll become an expert on Microsoft products that help customers stay connected and productive.
What you'll do
  • Coach a team of approximately 25 people across a multi-state territory
  • Meet key performance indicator (KPI) goals for team and build relationships with Best Buy leaders to support Microsoft training goals
  • Coordinate and execute meetings with all direct reports on a regular cadence virtually and in person if geography allows
  • Become a subject matter expert on Microsoft products and train employees, both by request and to upskill underperforming store teams
  • Tavel overnight approximately once or twice a month, and attend off-site multi-day training twice a year
  • Support program reporting requirements
Basic qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • One year of leadership experience
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service or related field
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends
Preferred qualifications
  • One year of consumer electronics industry experience
  • Prior experience setting retail sales goals
  • Proven leadership acumen
  • Presentation skills; group training experience both in-person and virtually
  • Microsoft suite proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
