Job description

The Power Apps Developer designs, builds, enhances, and maintains low-code business applications and workflow automations using the Microsoft Power Platform. This role supports the full application lifecycle-requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and user enablement-while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with governance and compliance expectations. The developer collaborates with stakeholders and technical team members to improve business process efficiency and deliver timely enhancements and fixes.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain canvas and/or model-driven Power Apps solutions to support business workflows and data capture.

  • Develop and support workflow automations using Power Automate, including routing/approval flows, notifications, and integrations.

  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and other approved data sources/connectors.

  • Implement and maintain role-based access controls and security configurations within Power Platform solutions.

  • Participate in requirements discussions; translate business needs into technical designs and implementation plans.

  • Perform unit and functional testing; support user acceptance testing (UAT); ensure fixes and enhancements are validated prior to release.

  • Provide sustainment support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions; communicate risks/issues and recommended solutions promptly.

  • Create and maintain technical and user documentation for applications, workflows, and changes; deliver documentation updates on a recurring cadence as required.

  • Support user enablement through trainings, job aids, demos, and walkthroughs as needed.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements and system optimizations to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including building and maintaining production solutions.

  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online and/or Dataverse and managing data connections responsibly.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex workflow and application issues and deliver reliable fixes/enhancements under time constraints.

  • Familiarity with governance concepts, including environment strategy, solution packaging, access control, and documentation standards.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work directly with end users and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Experience producing clear technical documentation and user-facing guides.

  • Years of Experience: 5+ years

  • Clearance Requirements: Public Trust (Moderate Risk)

  • Certification Requirements: Preferred only - Microsoft Power Platform PL-200, PL-400, or equivalent

Any other work-related qualifications needed for the role:
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating effectively with a distributed team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and maintainability.
