Summary:ย 

  • Performs technical studies of complex nature and conducts analysis of operations to determine equipment needed and correct methods of manufacturing.

  • Authors detailed work instructions that optimize manufacturing process efficiency and opportunity for zero defects.

  • Authors DRDI or DMT rework instructions to support effective corrective actions.

  • Authors MBOM in SAP, Solumina, or Corridor to ensure all parts defined by Engineering are installed during assembly or installation.

  • Generates make-or-buy proposals, evaluates vendors, attends vendor negotiations, and assists in resolving problems.

  • Conducts research, investigation, and analysis to ensure conformance to requirements.

  • Performs producibility studies from engineering drawings.

  • Applies statistical methods to estimate manufacturing requirements and generates data or reports.

  • Incorporates Lean Manufacturing Methodology into existing and future processes.

  • Applies Lean and Six Sigma principles to manufacturing methods and leads or coordinates implementation of projects between multiple organizations.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4 years of manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical experience.

  • Knowledge of engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.

  • Ability to operate computerized equipment including CADAM, CATIA, Solumina, SAP, and Corridor.

  • Complete understanding and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Concepts such as 5S, JIT, SMED, KanBan, VSM, and One Piece Flow.

  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma or other data-driven decision making processes.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, equivalent certification, or proven experience in a Lean Six Sigma environment.

  • Ability to assign and review work of subordinate personnel and supervise training.

  • Ability to apply statistical methods to estimate manufacturing requirements and generate reports.
