Youth With A Purpose (YWAP) is excited to announce a part-time job opening for a Girls Mentorship Program Manager. This position is an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of young women through structured support and mentorship. The Girls Mentorship Program Manager will play a pivotal role in steering our after-school performing arts-based program, designed exclusively for girls. Be advised, this is not a remote job and requires the manager to be physically present for effective program execution and interaction.

The primary goal is to foster a nurturing environment that not only supports artistic endeavors but also bolsters personal growth, emotional well-being, and community involvement.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead with promoting the after-school program to increase participation and engagement.
  • Coordinate fun and educational community events that align with our program’s goals.
  • Educate youth on various life skills including conflict resolution, decision-making, and effective communication.
  • Provide consistent mentorship, helping children and adolescents set and achieve personal goals.
  • Support the development of social skills through structured activities and open discussions.

Requirements
  • Adept in managing and delivering performing arts content, with experience in dance, acting, music, art, or theater arts.
  • Proven experience in working with children or adolescents in various settings such as childcare, educational programs, or mentoring environments.
  • Familiarity with conflict management techniques and ability to resolve disputes among youth effectively.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is considered an advantageous qualification.
