Engagement Manager for Ambe
Direct-Hire
Farmington Hills, MI (Hybrid)
The Engagement Manager will promote and facilitate a world-class level of results, customer satisfaction, and customer conversion; particularly with AMBE's highest profile and/or most complex engagements. The Engagement Manager will primarily support projects in the United States but may be required to support Global projects as needed. This includes supporting Business Development initiatives with key clients, current active engagements/projects, and postmortem events once engagements have ended. He/she will work collaboratively with the Results Delivery team to assign, deploy, and oversee consultants on a variety of projects. The individual will be a key component of the AMBE team, be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, strategize and implement change management, and be involved in several aspects of the business. This Engagement Manager role will ideally be a hybrid role located at our Farmington Hills, Michigan office. Willing to travel up to 75%. 3rd party applicants not accepted.
Results Delivery/On-Project:
  • Act as a bridge between Client and AMBE Business Development resources and/or Account Manager(s).
  • The Engagement Manager will be the primary point of contact, external and internal, for project-related questions/issues/concerns.
  • Diagnose complex technical and business problems and work to uncover unknown and unmet client needs and develop robust, and executable initiatives and corrective actions to achieve world-class results.
  • Oversee the execution of all project-related administrative duties including, but not limited to contract execution, billing, invoicing, timecard and travel approvals, and consultant interviews.
  • Own the delivery of results according to SoW and manage all changes to SoW throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project-related summaries, presentations, and reports are consistent with AMBE Leadership, Business Development, SoW, and Client expectations and obligations.
  • Ensure thoughtful and comprehensive communication (written, oral, and Board Room) of results and progress to milestones from consultants to Engagement Manager is refined and in line with the professional standards of the Organization.

Results Delivery/Off-Project:
  • Participate as a key member of the Results Delivery team including, but not limited to reviewing project requests, suggesting consultants and resources, participating in consultant interviews, serving as Project Coordinator when necessary, and participating in other initiatives as outlined by the Results Delivery team.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility with high profile/high profitability engagements including, but not limited to, visits with customers leadership, visits to manufacturing settings, amongst other in person requirements to ensure customer line of sight to the Company's executive leadership team.
  • Continue to standardize and professionalize the means and methods in which project updates, presentations, statuses, and results are presented to customers (i.e., timeliness, accuracy, relevance, professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness).
  • Act as a non-billable Engagement Manager on key prospective or existing projects identified by AMBE Leadership (key Client, high-risk engagement due to SoW or consultant team complexion) to ensure project award, execution, client satisfaction, and consultant development.

Business Development/Project Extension:
  • Joint responsibility for initial SoW development including, but not limited to initial site assessment prior to official project kickoff.
  • Enable the cross-selling of other AMBE services with projects or customers that he/she is supporting.
  • Target of $250,000 of Net Revenue.
  • Available and well-reputed member of the AMBE team that serves as an extension of AMBE's core values, culture, and capabilities in a Business Development setting including non-project related customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, among other interactions that impact AMBE's perception and brand in the marketplace.

Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Is enthusiastic with an entrepreneurial spirit that envelopes ideation, build-out, and co-ownership of results.
  • Commercially oriented with a results/execution/KPI-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated project management experience - demand, talent, and project planning, engagement and consulting, execution and management, issue/risk management, and resource management.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Automotive Industry (OEM & Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers).
  • Ability to achieve results, as a non-authoritative member, in a high-stress and fast-paced environment.
  • Leverage interpersonal and innate leadership abilities to influence project results as any of the following: individual contributor, team member, and/or project leader. Performance manage assets to maximize outputs in high-stress and fast-paced consulting engagements.
  • Ability to work dynamic hours based on business needs with little upfront notice. For the avoidance of doubt, the nature of this position requires an "on-call" mentality to support customer requests immediately; often onsite within 24-36 hours from initial notification/request.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The critical nature of projects that the Engagement Manager will be expected to manage and oversee will require them to be onsite for indefinite periods of time. Travel expectations will be up to 75% (e.g., travel Sunday to be onsite Monday morning and extended stay for multiple days/weeks at a time).
  • AMBE will work in good faith with the Engagement Manager if he/she has been on a client-specific project for an extended period of time to accommodate travel back home and a mutually acceptable balance of personal time off.
