Medsien is a leading provider of Chronic Care Management and Remote patient monitoring services to medical practices across the United States.
Medsien is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team as a Care Partner. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting patients in enrolling into various healthcare programs. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a passion for helping others access necessary healthcare services.
We provide highly personalized care for each patient. Patients have the same care partner - a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - that calls and stays in touch with the patient each month. The patients and care partners know each other well, building strong relationships and trust. Care partners know their patient's health and health history well, so they can provide comprehensive, continuous support to their patients. Patients and practices each see the Medsien care team as an extension of the practice. Strong relationships between patients and the care team build engagement, which improves patient health outcomes. Personalized care is a key component of Medsien programs' long-term success.
Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Enrollment: Guide patients through the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  2. Program Eligibility Assessment: Evaluate patient eligibility for specific healthcare programs based on criteria provided, such as age, medical conditions, or other qualifying factors.
  3. Patient Consultation: Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to gather necessary information and explain the benefits and requirements of various healthcare programs.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient information, enrollment details, and program eligibility assessments in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems.
  5. Follow-Up and Coordination: Monitor the progress of enrollment applications, communicate with patients, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the enrollment process.
  6. Patient Education: Provide patients with clear and concise explanations regarding healthcare programs offered by Medsien.
  7. Compliance and Privacy: Adhere to all relevant privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
  8. Program Updates: Stay informed about changes, updates, and new offerings related to healthcare programs, and effectively communicate these changes to patients.
  9. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, social workers, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless patient enrollment.

Requirements:
  1. Certified Medical Assistant: Possess an active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution ( NHA, AAMA,NCCT, NAHP, etc).
  2. Medical Terminology: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses to accurately assess patient eligibility.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  4. Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrated ability to interact with patients empathetically, showing sensitivity to their needs and concerns.
  5. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate completion of enrollment applications and documentation.
  6. Organization and Time Management: Effective organizational skills to manage multiple patient enrollments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  7. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, computer proficiency, and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  8. Ethical Conduct: Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct when dealing with sensitive patient information.
