Job description

Medical Records Director

Hillsboro Post Acute | Hillsboro, OH

Some people see a stack of charts and feel overwhelmed. You see a challenge. Maybe even an opportunity.

Hillsboro Post Acute is searching for a Medical Records Director who understands that accuracy matters, details count, and a well-organized medical record can be a beautiful thing. If you're the person who notices missing signatures, catches documentation errors before anyone else, and can find a chart faster than Google finds an answer, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain and organize resident medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Manage admissions, discharges, record retention, and document filing.
  • Conduct chart audits and support survey readiness efforts.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to ensure documentation is complete and timely.
  • Serve as the facility's go-to expert for all things medical records.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in medical records, health information management, or long-term care preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping everything on track.
  • A team player who understands that behind every chart is a resident who depends on quality care.
Why Hillsboro Post Acute?

At Hillsboro Post Acute, we know great care starts with great people. We offer a supportive team environment, opportunities for growth, and a workplace where your expertise is valued and appreciated. You'll play a critical role in keeping our facility organized, compliant, and running smoothly.

A Few Signs This Job Might Be for You
  • You secretly enjoy organizing things.
  • Missing paperwork keeps you up at night.
  • You've ever said, "I know exactly where that document is."
  • Your idea of excitement is a perfectly completed chart audit.
  • You take pride in getting the details right the first time.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.

Apply today and bring your organizational talents to Hillsboro Post Acute, where every detail matters and every resident counts.

Hourly Rate: $18.50

We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
