BayCare is currently in search of our newest Medical Office Rep who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare's top priority is the health and well-being of our communities as Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.
Position Details:
  • Location: Tampa, FL
  • Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may vary)

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:
  • Supports the physician's office health care team
  • Greets and signs in patients
  • Obtains patient information
  • Schedules patient appointments
  • Assists with patient inquiries
  • May arrange for other procedures
  • Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
  • Collects and posts payments
  • Assists patients with billing questions
  • Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
  • Sorts and distributes mail
  • Copies medical records

Required Education:
  • High School or Equivalent

Experience:
  • Required 6 months of healthcare
  • Or 6 months of Customer Service
