Hours M-F 8-4:30pm
Pay $19-$31/hr
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enter physician and procedure charges into the electronic medical record (EMR) and billing system.
  • Verify CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review encounter forms and provider documentation for missing or incomplete information.
  • Ensure charges are entered within established productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Correct charge entry errors and communicate documentation issues with providers or clinical staff.
  • Work closely with coding, billing, and accounts receivable teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliation and other revenue cycle tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
  • 1–3 years of medical billing, charge entry, or medical coding experience.
  • Knowledge of:
    • CPT and ICD-10 coding
    • Medical terminology
    • Insurance billing processes
