Cardiovascular Specialist - Electrophysiology

Description: Maintains and operates monitoring equipment, cardiac hemodynamic and radiological equipment in invasive cardiovascular procedures to assist the physician in determining cardiac diagnosis and treatment. Provides support before, during and after surgical device procedures. Reports to the Manager.

Qualifications: High school required, Bachelor's Degree in Health Care field preferred. Graduate of Certified Cardiovascular Technician program or of Certified Electrophysiology program preferred. Registered Cardiovasular Invasive Specialist(RCIS), or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist(RCES) preferred. Certification Examination for Competency in Cardiac Electrophysiology for the Allied Professional from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (formerly NASPExAM) preferred. Previous experience in ICU, ER, OR, Arrhythmia Services, Respiratory Care or Radiology required. CPR certified required. Certification exam in RCES or Competency in Cardiac Electrophysiology from the Heart Rhythm Examiners required within four years of employment when working in the Electrophysiology lab.
