300 - 620300 PPP - Clinic - Cardiovascular
Position Description:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting all clinical activities and providers in the provision of medical services. This position must be willing and able to adapt to different medical specialties with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for office visits (vitals, chief complaint, documentation in EMR)
• Assist with exams, medication administration, and point-of-care testing
• Coordinate referrals and gather info for medication pre-authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Restock exam rooms and manage clinical inventory
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
Qualifications:
1. One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred OR completion of a Medical Assistant or equivalent training program preferred.
2. Demonstrates basic efficiency in using electronic medical records, general computer technology, accurate typing, and proper grammar.
3. Basic medical terminology preferred.
