About the Community:

We offer a unique opportunity for you to be part of the agrihood community movement and a friendly, hardworking team. We pride ourselves in creating a positive, enjoyable work environment. We grow acres of organic vegetables and fruit that are distributed to residents through a retail Farm Share program. In addition to overseeing production, we also maintain a Garden and General Store for residents.

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Director for our award winning farm. This is a unique opportunity for you to be a leader in the agrihood community movement and part of a friendly, hardworking team. We pride ourselves in creating a positive, enjoyable work environment with favorable work-life balance.

What youll accomplish:

  • Managing farm crew and all aspects of vegetable, fruit and herb production
  • Maintaining farm infrastructure and landscape with support from contracted vendors
  • Certifying that all product and food safety standards are being met
  • Managing on-site CSA pick-ups
  • Educating residents and guests about agrihood farming by leading workshops / presentations and providing tours
  • Ensuring general store, barn, gardens and surrounding areas are well maintained
  • Leading gardening related workshops and farm to table events
  • Assisting HOA team with events and workshops as needed

What were looking for:

  • At least 2 years organic vegetable production and farm management experience
  • Proven experience independently operating a tractor
  • Enthusiasm for local and sustainable agriculture
  • A problem solver, willing to learn and open to feedback
  • High degree of customer service and effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail and efficiency
  • Knowledge of retail technology and CSA logistics platform
  • Carpentry skills, general fix it know how, and familiarity with basic tools
  • Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time and move up to 50 pounds
  • Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn new tasks
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state drivers license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
