Role Overview:

We are searching for an innovative Mechanical Engineer to be part of a fast-growing organization that develops state-of-the-art generators and automatic transfer switches. This position serves as the mechanical engineering contributor to design concepts, prototype development, detailed design, product validation and support in launching products. We are a fast-paced organization and the ability to multitask within this environment successfully is important. The Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Integration Engineering Manager and will work a hybrid schedule based out of Houston, TX.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to the mechanical engineering team, providing technical and design input, as well as engineering and product support. 
  • Contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
  • Participate in the development of innovative system level concepts and designs that meet project and cost targets. 
  • Interface with suppliers and prototype vendors to obtain quotes, make design changes and execute project initiatives, as necessary.
  • Create and modify detailed drawings, draft conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches, or discussions. 
  • Be creative in taking an idea and studying the details before converting it into a design.
  • Contribute in the definition of the project scope and deliverables that align with the project goals and strategies across the organization. 
  • Create, update, and maintain project documentation including 3D Model, 2D drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. 
  • Provide engineering support to the production, quality, testing, documentation, and any other engineering rated task involving the production of ERock Products.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of the Company’s management.
Requirements:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in Solidworks 3D modeling and detailing drawings.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and related software's.
  • Willing to be physically involved in all engineering tasks to meet project requirements. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting and drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of Autodesk Vault 2025.
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines and / or power generation systems.
