Job description

Mechanical Design Engineer Under the supervision of a Project Manager, Mechanical Design Engineer will assist to perform energy-efficient mechanical design for commercial and non-residential buildings, including selection and specification of HVAC systems and equipment; conduct cooling and heating load calculations and perform compliance analyses using engineering software packages; assist in preparing technical reports to document engineering analyses; support field surveys to document existing conditions and recommend design solutions; produce efficient and optimized Revit/CAD drawings, applying established quality standards and design criteria; support coordination with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure HVAC designs meet project specifications and applicable codes; provide technical input on energy performance, including Mechanical/Envelope Title-24 and ComCheck requirements, and prepare compliance documentation; provide technical support and recommendations for energy system solutions; use LEED certification and knowledge of Data center load calculation; conduct safety analysis (quality assurance); etc. Telecommuting permitted on a limited basis. Salary; $98,987/year.
