Job description

Mechanic foreman/manager for the 2nd shift 3PM-Midnight is needed. Heimes Corporation is seeking qualified personnel to make repairs on equipment/vehicles and perform general maintenance. Heimes Corporation is a construction company based out of Omaha, Nebraska. Heimes Corp. provides a wide range of services including but not limited to: Excavating, Underground Utilities, Recycled Concrete, Plumbing, Directional Drilling, Underground Storage Tanks, Wrecking, Transportation, and Hazardous Materials Cleanup/Hauling (ESI).

Position is full time or part time, hours and amount of overtime are somewhat negotiable. Full time applicants should have their own tools and a valid driver's license. Ability to work on a wide range of equipment/vehicles is a necessity. Looking for experience with Ford, Kenworth, International, Western Star and many more DOT pickups/trucks/trailers. Looking for experience with CASE, CAT, John Deere & Komatsu equipment. Excavators, Compactors, Dozers, Wheel Loaders, and any other equipment you can think of. Cummins, CAT, and Detroit engines. Having welding experience and a CDL is beneficial but not necessarily required.


2nd Shift's primarily responsibility as a group, is to make sure that the trucks are ready to be out the door first thing in the morning. Brakes, lights, electrical, mud flaps, tarps, side boards, services, and many other miscellaneous repairs. The foreman/manager is responsible for delegating work and managing a 1-4 other employees at night. They will also need to report any issues to the shop manager as it comes up. They are also required to pick up the wrenches and perform repairs themselves, as that is the primary part of the job.


Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and abide by DOT regulations. Zero tolerance policy for cell phone use while behind the wheel (including hands free devices). We utilize the E-Verify system for employment eligibility. For construction safety reasons applicant must speak and understand the English language.

Pay varies depending on previous experience.
