Job description

Job Summary:

WES is seeking an E & I Foreman - Electrical, who will lead a Team in achieving operational goals through improved runtime and reduced callouts in the Delaware Basin. Ensuring proper compliance with environmental, federal, and company standards.  This person will manage teams operating and maintaining equipment and instrumentation for automated controls at plant facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads a E & I field team in achieving Delaware Basin Midstream operational goals.
  • Assure proper training for all team members in safely troubleshooting AC power electrical equipment as well as DC control circuits.
  • Maintain electrical switchgear, substations, & overhead distribution as well as motors and controls.
  • Assist the overall Delaware Basin Midstream operations team in the daily economic optimization of operations.
  • Supports Planning and Field Accounting with budget reviews and research related to discrepancies, and also supports Field Accounting with OPEX accruals. 
  • Directs and oversees onsite project teams, ensuring projects are completed according to project plans.
  • Coordinates staff and teams needed to accomplish project goals, including supervisor, engineering, and management. 
  • Participates in Emergency Management Training and Tabletop exercises. 
  • Ensures contractors adhere to WES best practices and safety procedures, with the authority to stop work.  
  • Participates in projects with corporate teams. 
  • Provide team members with on-the-job, informal, and formal skill development opportunities. 
  • Develop relationships with third-party customers and producers. 
  • Ensure accurate, timely data is entered and recorded within operational and business software applications.
  • Accomplish the job following WES core values.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. An associate or higher degree in an applicable subject area is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree, Trade school, applicable professional certification, or applicable work experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of relative work experience.
  • Previous demonstration of leadership experience.
  • Strong grasp of PSM workflows and processes. (PHA, MOC, Training, etc.)
  • A strong hands-on and working knowledge of plant & field equipment such as gas engines, compressors, pumps, air compressors, coolers, heaters, and fans.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Fully qualified in safe operations of all tools and equipment.
  • Journeyman license or higher preferred.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in the field and serve as a mentor to other operational personnel.
  • Apply extensive experience to issues/assignments.
  • Address complex and escalated issues in a safe and timely manner.

Travel Requirements:

  • The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule:

  • This position is on a 5/2 shift schedule and may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
