Job description

Responsibilities will include:
Performing duties such as traying, wrapping, and pricing to Meat Department standards
Ensuring proper meat preparation (for example, cutting and trim standards, traying, wrapping, and pricing, and also preparation of sausage, hamburger patties and other in store made product) is to meat department standards.
Filling and merchandising the fresh case, frozen case, smoked case, and all spot islands are to department standards.
Receiving, inspecting, and storing merchandise when assigned
Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op safety policies and procedures
Adhering to all food safety policies and practices
Performing any other duties as assigned
Providing outstanding customer service


We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:


Self motivated, reliable, responsible, friendly, and hard working
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5 years of meat cutting experience.
Raw food handling is an asset.
Commitment to Co-operative values and principles
Sense of urgency, and customer first attitude
Physically capable of performing dynamic and static movements, repetitive motions, and repeated lifting of up to 50Ibs unassisted.
Ability to work in cool and damp environments.
