Measurement Manager

Responsible for overseeing a liquid measurement team that includes accuracy of crude oil measurement and control facilities. This includes flow computers, analyzers, SCADA, regulators, transducers, electronic and pneumatic controllers, relief valves, ultrasonic meters, rotary meters, turbine meters, positive meters, and Coriolis meters. This position is based outside of Douglas at the Pronghorn facility.
Essential Duties

Manages 3 team members plus 3rd party contractors. Reports to the Chief Operations Officer.
Pipelines, stations, and line segment gain and loss reporting.
Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate onsite company devices.
Identify and access remote advanced measurement control and regulation equipment, utilizing SCADA and other proprietary software.
Detect measurement errors and correct volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation.
Monitor liquid product volumes through the measurement system, ensuring all corrections are performed and proper qualities are applied.
Assess all facets of assigned facilities to ensure accurate measurement while maintaining the companys lost and unaccounted for liquid products with a high degree of ownership and consideration of the established corporate goals.
Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary. Participate in federal inspections when needed.
Responsible for the maintenance of all measurement equipment as needed.
Actively support the safety program by maintaining a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets, employees, and the public.
Monitors and maintains meter proving activity and schedules.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience with safe handling practices of liquid products including knowledge of various components of measurement bias and error.
  • Knowledge of liquid measurement test equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in liquid product measurement and control.
  • Experience to effectively troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment and controls.
  • Knowledge of API measurement standards and ability to apply them as needed.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with electronic flow measurement computers, SCADA, electronic and pneumatic controllers, regulators, temperature and pressure transmitters.
