About the Job MDM Administrator

The SAP MDM Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) platform. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the organization's master data across all systems. Key duties include managing MDG workflows, performing system updates, and acting as the primary point of contact for end-users and key stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide end-user support: Serve as the primary contact for end-users facing issues with master data, resolving problem tickets, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Manage user access and security: Control user access and permissions within the MDG system to ensure data security and compliance with governance policies.
  • Conduct training sessions: Develop and deliver training materials and workshops for new and existing users to ensure proper MDM procedures are followed.
  • Create documentation: Develop and maintain user guides and training documents that reflect current MDM processes and system configurations.

Stakeholder support and collaboration:

  • Liaise with business teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business units, IT) to gather data requirements and translate business processes into functional and technical MDM solutions.
  • Engage with data stewards: Work closely with data stewards and subject matter experts to define and implement data governance policies and standards.
  • Manage stakeholder communication: Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on the status of MDM initiatives, including data quality improvements and system changes.
  • Support projects and enhancements: Participate in SAP change projects and new initiatives by conducting testing, gathering functional requirements, and ensuring new solutions align with MDM standards.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP MDM and MDG modules and related processes.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality management, and data modeling.
