Job description

Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Desktop Administrator to provide onsite IT support for one of our clients in Irvine. This is a part-time contract role, requiring 3 days per week onsite. The position offers flexible scheduling, to be coordinated with the client.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
About the Role
The Desktop System Administrator will support end users, manage IT assets, and help maintain a reliable, secure desktop environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, providing hands-on support, and keeping IT operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
  • Provide desktop support for hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Manage IT assets, including inventory tracking, allocation, and documentation.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding from a device standpoint.
  • Perform routine updates, patches, and security checks on desktops.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes and resolutions.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience in desktop administration or IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with asset tracking tools and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time onsite role.

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in a corporate IT environment.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
