This position is onsite at our hospital facility located in the vibrant community of Nyack, New York. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and resources, allowing for extensive collaboration among multidisciplinary teams. As a Physician Assistant, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with patients in various departments, ensuring that you are part of a patient-first culture that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and compassionate care.

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain comprehensive patient histories to accurately assess and diagnose prevalent health issues.
• Analyze lab results and radiographic studies to assist in the development and implementation of effective treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage therapeutic regimens in accordance with established protocols and under physician supervision, tailoring care to meet individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient-centered care.
• Educate patients on their diagnoses, proposed treatment options, and preventive care measures to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date patient records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, adhering strictly to privacy regulations.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans and interventions when necessary to optimize health outcomes.

As a Physician Assistant at Unihealth MD, you will primarily serve an adult patient population with diverse medical needs ranging from acute care to chronic disease management. Working in a collaborative environment, you will interact with patients from various backgrounds, ensuring that cultural sensitivities and individual preferences are respected in the delivery of personalized care.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Active Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• Nationally certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are necessary.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred, though new graduates demonstrating strong clinical skills and commitment to patient care are also encouraged to apply.

This role comes with a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
