Job description

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Addictive Mental Disorders/Montana Chemical Dependency Center.

The Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC) located in Butte provides intensive in-patient treatment that cares for the disease of addiction including withdrawal management for substance use disorders and treatment for co-occurring mental health disease. MCDC provides the highest level or most intense level of treatment for addictions in the health care continuum funded by the state of Montana. MCDC engages with all community partners who provide and support addiction and recovery services to continue the lifelong journey of recovery.

Job Overview:  This position provides nursing care to patients at the Montana Chemical Dependency Center.  Other responsibilities include: 1) Providing patients' health information to the interdisciplinary team and registered nurses; 2) Assessing detox patients and administering medications as requested by physicians.

 This is a short-term position and is not eligible for permanent status or state benefits such as sick, vacation or holiday time. Dependent on number of hours worked this position may be eligible for state health insurance benefits. Employment is expected to last up to 90 working days per year. This position is an on-call role and does not have standard set hours.
