Maxi Wellness Corporation is seeking a dedicated and licensed Child and Adolescent Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team. This full-time position focuses on providing remote telehealth services, allowing you to deliver exceptional mental health care to young individuals and their families from the comfort of your home or any location in San Jose, California.

Our outpatient practice specializes in evaluating and treating various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. As a mental health counselor at Maxi Wellness Corporation, you will work remotely in a telehealth setting, which allows for flexibility and convenience. Patient interactions typically occur via secure videoconferencing tools designed to ensure privacy and confidentiality. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some occasional evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our clients. This unique work model fits well with our focus on accessibility and patient-centered care.

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments for children and adolescents to accurately identify their specific needs and challenges.
• Create, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that consider developmental appropriateness and family dynamics.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address mental health issues and promote emotional well-being.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers, helping them to build supportive home environments.
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure the delivery of comprehensive care and best treatment practices.
• Offer timely crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and safety planning as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community support resources.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in ongoing professional development and participate in team meetings and case consultations to continuously enhance care quality.
• Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to inform practice.

You will primarily work with children and adolescents facing varying degrees of mental health challenges, along with their families. This includes developing treatment strategies for young patients exhibiting signs of anxiety, mood disorders, attention deficit issues, and other behavioral concerns. Your role will significantly impact their emotional and psychological development, aiming to foster resilience and coping strategies.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within California.
• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly working with children and adolescents.
• Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proven evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy, with a strong focus on building rapport with young clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a child-centered approach in all interactions.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and ability to engage with various computer applications to enhance service delivery.
• Commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Prior involvement in telehealth service delivery.
• Experience in crisis intervention and emergency mental health response.
• Familiarity with community resources specifically designed for young individuals and their families.

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 115,000 – 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. To attract top talent, we also offer a generous sign-on bonus.
