Maxi Wellness Corporation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote capacity. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents, helping them navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's developmental stage and family dynamics.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, to effectively approach varied mental health concerns.
  • Deliver family therapy sessions to assist parents and caregivers in fostering nurturing environments that support the mental well-being of their children.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive approach to mental health care.
  • Offer crisis intervention and mentoring support during mental health emergencies involving young individuals.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and available community resources for further engagement.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, promoting shared learning and professional development.
  • Stay current with advancements and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry through ongoing education and research.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, fostering a trusting rapport to guide them through their mental health journeys. This role is essential in helping young individuals address issues with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma, encouraging healing within a safe and nurturing space.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a nurturing approach to therapy.
  • Proficiency in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and foster a positive working atmosphere.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience providing individual and family therapy to adolescent clients.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, reflecting the skills and experiences of the qualified candidate.
