Compensation Description: Base salary of $45,000 with commission. On-target earnings (OTE) range from $60,000–$100,000


Position Overview

Under the direction of the District Manager – NY Metro, the VM Sales Rep is someone who hunts for new business via cold-stops, cold calling, and networking. Performs a variety of sales-related duties and provides sales support in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

Sales Related:

• Manage assigned vertical market channels within designated territory

• Outbound sales calls and visits to prospects for new direct business

• Conduct Matrix Fitness showcase tours for existing and potential customers

• Meet monthly goal for number of prospective customer site visits and new opportunities volume

• Provide Product Management with product, market and customer information

• Regularly provide management with accurate reports

• Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within territory

• Work with other sales representatives within the territory

• Follow all related procedures & policies

• Attend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel


Marginal Job Functions:

• Other projects as needed


Requirements:

Education:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associate's degree with combination of experience required

• Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field preferred


Experience:

• 1 year of outside sales experience as a proven producer required

• Sales forecasting and reporting capability required

• Working knowledge of the commercial fitness industry; dues paying facilities or vertical market required

• 1 year or more of commercial fitness equipment sales preferred


Other Requirements:

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer required

• Software experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferred

• Drivers license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer site visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.

• MUST live in the Metro NY area
