Job description

Job Title: Transportation and Material Processor
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Transportation and Material Processor to join our logistics team. This entry-level role supports daily transportation operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, and vendor collaboration. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and capable of managing tasks from start to finish in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Code and approve invoices related to transportation costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the production planning cycle, including carrier assignment and shipment coordination
  • Coordinate with customers to investigate and resolve lost or delayed shipments
  • Schedule and prepare shipping documentation for LTL (less-than-truckload) and full truckload shipments
  • Prepare international shipping paperwork using internal and external systems
  • Collaborate with logistics vendors to support project requirements and meet service expectations

Required / Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow workflows from beginning to end and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with customers and vendors
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as new projects and processes are introduced
  • Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse environment is a plus
  • Some college coursework or degree completion preferred
