About the role

ZT Systems is seeking a Staff Material Planning Analyst who will be based out of our NJ HQ reporting directly to our Senior Manager of Operations. The Material Planning Analyst must be detail-oriented, organized, and have a high level of comfort in working with numbers. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate professionally and clearly and will also have strong analytical, computer, and verbal skills. This position interfaces with Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Demand Planning, and Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Communicate with the Manufacturing schedule/planning team on the material status

  • Efficiently manage and monitor production demands and inventory requirements

  • Review demand vs. supply to ensure a healthy supply plan

  • Working with cross-function teams to streamline process and ensuring accurate inventory

  • Monitor the incoming supply to enhance flexibility and reduce internal line downtime risk

  • Act as a point of contact on material planning for issue escalations and resolution

  • Understand root causes for shortages and drive action to recover in the fastest possible duration

  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvement

  • Collaborate with the team to drive the most cost-effective plan

What You bring

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Computer Science, Production Planning, Logistics or related field and 5+ years of experience, preferably in Supply Chain/Production Planning (alternatively a Master's degree and 3+ years of experience).

  • Expertise with MS Office applications, especially Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, organizational, and writing skills

  • Knowledge of principles and providing independent judgment and decision-making skills

  • Planning, organizing, prioritizing, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Information gathering and information monitoring

  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong work ethic and sense of discipline

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and customer service orientation

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $82,500 and $105,000 per year. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
